Silken Rain (poem)

Updated on June 4, 2013

Amid the silken sounds of gentle rain

Which warms the moments of another day

Where every kiss of rainbows’ bright array

Was one more song which offered its refrain

-

To dream awhile and watch our wishes play

In gardens where our always will remain

To blossom with the sound of one more strain

Of lovers who in silken rain did stray

-

Was it just simple way to hide a tear

A mixture of the dark and hopeful dew

-

Those things so out of reach became unclear

For here and now flows music much more true

-

There never will be memories so dear

As silken rain which brings me back to you

I wrestle with ambivalent emotions here as your work depicts both beauty and sadness from the past. Deeply perceptive and I had a good read.

Thank you and have a good night Martin.

      Hello, Martin

As if an artist had painted these images, you have carefully drawn for us this sorrowful but elation filled song of love. Angels are on the way to you this morning ps

Martin, your words mesmerize and pull us along the pathway from

the ecstasy of the first kiss to the tear of despair to the silken rain

      of memory.

In the end, we are only left with the memories.

Your words take it right to the heart.

      DJ.
