Magic in Music
How I learn to love music
I am an avid fan of music. Since high school, I have been fond of listening to songs. I did not know how it started. As far as I could remember, I have just admired a young local singer and then kept listening to and singing her first single. From then on, I was in love with her music first and then desired to be a singer someday (which I believed hard to reach...but I was the owner of my own dreams...so I was free to dream whatever I liked just like being a singer...hehehehe)
Perhaps my desire to sing despite the "difficulty" and the impact of some songs on me were what brought me closer to music. I might not know all the genres, famous singers and songs, and musical notes or playing musical instrument but I still could say I loved music in a very selective way.
I chose the music to listen to or sing depending on my mood. I sang few lines of a song which I felt the right words to describe how I felt. And the reward, I felt relief. In surrender, I voice out the things I wanted to tell the world through the lyrics and melody of the songs. In that way, I expressed the emotions which I have hidden inside. It was a nice and not so obvious way. And I call it MUSIC MAGIC! :)
How music works
Music is one of the God's gifts for us mankind. And it has lots of purpose. Maybe it is a way to celebrate goodness of life. Perhaps to grieve the lost of loved ones. Probably to shed tears of broken hearts or simply to express the inexplicable. Indeed, music is the melody of the seasons of life. It is the rhythm of emotions.
Perhaps the very reason why it could alleviate how I feel sometimes because the words and tune of it is made of emotions which understand and perfectly describe how I am. This is maybe how music works in our lives. Again this is Music Magic.
