Sincerely a Sunflower

Updated on July 4, 2017

She left the yard of blonde girls

To follow a boy with messy curls

Murky bleak and grey is no more

He transforms colorless pages into love

A love with joie de vivre at its core

He is my precious stone

Clarity is crystal

Before him I was alone.

He is a ruby, a diamond, a pearl

He took the hands of a dandelion girl

He knew she only needed light

Sincerely a sunflower

It is for him I continue to write
