Singing Dinosaur

Once upon a time, not very long ago

Maybe about forty years ago

In a nice evening a beautiful lady had a walk

Through the land her husband owned near the park.

It was lovely with so many trees and flowers

She smelt them and wondered into the woods for hours

Suddenly she saw a strange beautiful rock

She took it in wondering as it's bigger than an egg of a hawk.

So she turned back to her home with the treasure she found

She kept it warm and cozy with a pillow on the ground

Her husband has gone abroad for business

In hope to come back to celebrate Christmas.

Next day she took the egg in her hand to see

It started cracking and finally it broke free

Surprised she didn't know what to say

It looked at her with innocent eyes as to say Hay!

Soon she recognized what it was, definitely not a bird

Yet she decided to keep it in as a secret

Suddenly with her touch it turned to a baby

She was so shocked, she was amused by his anomaly.

She named him Ray to remember the tiny ray of sunshine

As she raised him as her own sunshine

Even after her husband left her as he found out her adoption

She took Ray to Londinium since she had no option.

Ray grew into a handsome clever friendly young man

His Mama was so proud of him as she trained him to be a gentleman

He loved his Mama more than anyone in the world

Though he knew he is so different from the rest of the world.

His beautiful Mama got sick and soon she left the world

He was so sad though he was in love with a girl

She too said she doesn't love him and it crushed his heart

Life is not worth living so he finally thought.

In his sadness he had flashbacks of who he was

How he transformed into the human form had a cause

To bring sunshine to the hearts that are broken

So in his sadness started singing out loud in emotion.

Now he's going to step into his naughty forties

He has touched so many with his wise stories

But he had given up on wedding bells as he enjoys freedom

He's the 'Singing Dinosaur' whom I love in my Bubble kingdom :)

The most strangest poem so far I have ever written :)

This is one of my favourit cartoons :)

Very sweet. You should do some children's stories. They would be rapt with pleasure.
