Sinking Deeper

Updated on July 23, 2011
Source

Staring out into the ocean's horizon...

I get closer to the sea...

Feet touching the water..

The ocean calling me.

Slowly I begin to near the water...

I kneel down to get a swoosh..!

Splash on my face,

Feels so good.

I embrace the liquid matter,

Letting it have it's way with me...

As I near the deep,

I relax my body...

With my eyes close,

Letting myself go...

I'm sinking deeper and deeper...

Into the oceans flow...

Swirling round and round,

Not a peep...

Not a sound...

Just my peace.

Floating up to the surface,

My heart beating fast,

I enjoyed that very much ocean...

I had peace at last.

Thank you deep blue,

For letting me surrender myself to you...

It was something that I needed to do.

awww that sounded so refreshing. I want to go to the beach :( Your poem makes me think about my visit to the Bahamas and the first time I felt the warm sand between my toes and how the warm water kissed my body.

Another beautiful hub, and as a beach lover I am so jealous. LOL. But can I ask if the shallow safer part near the sand might be more nicer to stay? I like to be not too deep..but that is just me.

And yes, I am a coward. LOL. I have to be able to be in water and be able to tip the bottom with my feet, well...most of the time anyway. But then I am sure the beaches there are totally awesome too, Rena. Please stay safe and have a sweet day, okay? (Hugs)
