...Sister of Thunder...Poetry by Carole Anzolletti

Updated on August 13, 2016

Swarm of the storm

In the purple air so warm

You knew I was near

When I left from here

For so long I was scared

As thunder didn’t compare

For so long I called you Mother

You, Lightning, Sister of Thunder

You, Electric Sorceress

Commanding earth and sky

You, blinding entity

With the all seeing Eye

Now the sea smells like wet dogs

And the air like melted cars

While the crickets sing once more

And the black sky fills with stars
