Sitting On My Day So It Won't Go Away

The sun is not even up yet and I have so many things planned

I know I will have to race around all day just to get most of what I want done

Errands and food shopping is just the beginning

Then there are bills to be paid and the car dropped off for an inspection

Yes I waited to the last day when I thought I would have more time

The phone will start ringing and my children will need a ride

A neighbor might come over and give me some company but P L E A S E

Can it wait till tomorrow when I have more time and less things on my mind

I set the alarm early so I wouldn't over sleep

But I was too jumpy so I got up earlier than that

Too scared to go back to sleep

Since I am up I might as well get a good start

As I rush to the laundry basket and get it ready to bring it downstairs to wash

I think I will eat breakfast now I might not have time later

I almost forgot a friend is moving and they say they would call for some help

I made sure I charged my cell phone so my battery won't die

There was a slow leak in my left back tire I have to get that checked

I was hoping to go to the gym and get a good work out

I will have to go into work early so I can leave early or see if someone will switch and I can work for them another day

There are only two people who said they can do it for me but I have to let them know

I haven't decided who to call one will work for me and I will work for them tomorrow

The other will work for me and I will work for them next Sunday

I am so excited and filled with so much energy

I took out the bathroom cleaner and thought I would clean it now and vacuume later

So I wouldn't make any noise and wake up the family

The cat appointment is at two

My dentist asked if I could come in early because she is going on vacation

I think I will make a meatloaf so I can have it ready to throw in the oven for later when I get home

I will gather the trash after I cut up the watermelon in the refridgerator so it all can go out for the garbage men who come to my neighborhood early

I think I will put out the clothes on the line before I go out so they will dry nice

It is suppose to be a gorgeous day and maybe a chance of showers later tonight

There is nothing like the smell of fresh clothes that have been drying in the air outside

I will arrive at the bank when it first opens to avoid any line so I can get extra money for the week

There is a gas station that takes cash only that is ten cents cheaper than everyone else

I have the gas tank almost empty so I will just stop there first

As my mind is racing I clearly have a plan

My mother wants to go food shopping too so I will pick her up when I drop the youngest one off at school

After we do the food shopping and put the groceries away we both head for a haircut and my mother wants her hair colored so while she is getting that done

I can shoot to the school and pick up my son and then I can drop him and nana off later so I save time

After I go to the parent teachers night at five thirty on the way home I can pick up the clothes at the cleaners for my cousins wedding tomorrow they don't close till late

I pulled out my shopping list and will leave it on the counter so I don't forget it

I have my cell phone and keys next to it

A perfectly planned day that should work out just nice

My eyes are a little tired and that is just because I got up at 5:05 A.M.

I could just go on Facebook for a little bit or turn on the t.v. and see the early morning news

I think I will just close my eyes for fifteen minutes and I will be ready to go

Off to la la land and when I wake I will be so surpised

Since it started to rain early and the pitter patter was so soothing

I didn't hear the phone ring

The day seemed to slip away

This one day I thought of everything I wanted to do but I sat here asleep till noon
