Skating on Thin Ice

Updated on December 21, 2014

A man and a woman and thin ice

We dance on thin ice, your walls slips away and just for a moment there is no issues, no worries, no what ifs. I live in the moment because that is all you will allow. I wait for those times, when I catch you off guard………. And we skate moving together as one, so like a mime against the imaginary mirror, motions perfectly in tune. I can feel the electricity, it draws me to you and you to me. We are helpless until the music stops and the spell is broken. Damn Dr. Jeckle, or is it Mr Hyde that keeps interrupting us?

We skim along the ice,  the lights dim, the music in perfect harmony with each move, every touch. i hear your sigh......... as you pull my head to your chest and i revel in our closeness.  You look past me, into my very soul it seems, but it's just a flicker and i see you retreat, running from some unknown ghost. Something in the past that burned you, singeing your heart and robbing me of the love that I know could be there if you just allow it.

I skate now........... a solo........... gliding on this ice......... till the music stops and we go back to the way we were separated by ....... thin ice.
