Slippery Safety Rails

Updated on March 15, 2012

Gaining sight In

our flickering flames.

Wounded words losing

control Setting free

An entirely new side of me.

Pins and needles leading

you to the hearts seam.

Protesting petitioning

postmen engorging in our mail ,

Making way for this fools nail to hail

Losing feeling in our limbs

with every other word being spoken.

Release and let be these

Waves from the hearts

vast and open sea

Go there to the edge and silently

cast off those emotions of lead.

Become your self again

relinquish this past

Speed up that pulses beat

Kneel to the ghostly feet.

Spit up the smashed glass

Then you may finally sleep.
