Smelling the Color Orange

Updated on June 4, 2012

Cruelkindness Subliminally Thoughtless Poetry Challenge

Poem Title "Smelling the Color Orange"

by Eric Calderwood

Poem written

by Cruelkindness

Smelling the Color Orange

Fruits give birth

to rivers of life

by the spirit in nature

to seed the souls

Beauties of land

flow harmonic sights

that rise aura of glow

for the scent of sunsets

The aroma essence

colors landscapes

of bliss into lustrous rivers

Giving the joys

in life to see fragrance

of orange blossom love

cruelkindness..your words speak for themselves, I don't think any explaination necessary...many different perceptions which in my world,is acceptable. You are doing a great job with this project..hope you are enjoying as much as we are..Wahooo!!!

I like to leave out my explanations for my intentions in every poem. I like creating them with more than one meaning. To see if people see the other angles. So here they are for "Smelling the color Orange"

      1. Its about the beginning of love between two people (the color orange) before the red love.

      2. Experiencing a Sunset with all senses.

      3. The harmony of life,earth,nature.

      4. A river in Africa called (Orange River) its the longest river in South Africa rising in Drakensberg Mountains heading westward (hence sunsets) to the Atlantic Ocean.

      5. The production of Citrus (orange blossom) is the fragrant flower of the orange tree. Which used often in perfume.

      Hope You Enjoy This

Let me know if you like me to leave these comments.

My favorite time of the day is when the sky starts to go orange. I'd always love to find time taking a walk at this time of day. Loved your words:

"Beauties of land, flow harmonic sights, that rise aura of glow for the scent of sunset"

      You're a poet!

TToombs08 - "chartreuse!" thank you for the request.

Eric Calderwood - Thank you for the title, I don't really dabbled in the rhymes. I guess if it was made known, I would have risen up to the challenge.

      iangb40 - I'm honored by your merits.

unknownspy - blue berry berry blue, thank you

Nicely done, Cruelkindness. Your writing has stunning picturesque lines, evoking the spirit of nature and what she offers us. You placed me in a perfect moment surrounded by land, sunsets, auras and scent. Not to mention the gift of life and all it has to offer, if we only take the time to pause and use our senses. Well done. Thank you for sharing your poem.

Nice job! I would have gotten stuck trying to find a rhyme for the word orange. Thank you for the links as well. I'm sharing this hub with my followers.
