Snowy Morning

Updated on December 20, 2011

Gentle snowflakes falling to the ground

A kaliedscope going round

Shimmering white glistening ice

Fluff coming down

Sweet memories of childhood

Come to mind

Where dreams and fantasies lay

Combined

Mornings where school was closed

Play time outside

With snowmen

Laughter and the dogs running aside

Flakes can still remind me

Of times like those

Where nothing stopped me

Not even my frozen toes

A cute little poem about a morning I woke up and saw snowflakes falling down outside.

Everybody got sweet memories from childhood. If you carry these sweet childhood memories always with you, you won't feel your age. Heard from somebody that 'it is never too late to live like your childhood'. nice composition and I love that picture, thanks.

carolinemd21, In my dreams and imagination I love images of snowfalls while I snuggle inside, tucked into a warm Icelandic throw, reading and listening to music before a roaring blazing fire in the fireplace. In reality this year I definitely do not want snow, and so far none in sight!

Nevertheless, a childhood in a snowy winter wonderland has provided me with a treasury of memories that is utterly magical.

You have captured that magic with this poem, and the last line is absolutely positively unequivocally perfect: "Of times like those Where nothing stopped me Not even my frozen toes." I can be such a baby about frozen toes! I'm giving that up as a New Year's resolution in honor of the magic of snow.

Best wishes for the holidays! Stessily

When you sincerely seek truth, there is that place you have stored away , it's untouchable to others , can only be shared by you.

You are not going back to childhood, back is never good , you are summoning that which is yours alone , that which you have stashed for days like today. When that's what you need.

      Bless.

This IS very cute. It must be fantastic as a child to play in the snow. And it must bring very fond memories as an adult reflecting on that childhood. Good descriptions!
