So Ironic

Updated on October 25, 2015
Luxuries

Necessities

Life seems to be hard for those who have all the luxuries ,

think about them who don't even have access to the necessities .

We believe life to be boring and full of faults ,

while we are in AC rooms texting on our phones ,

but there are some who think life to be still a bed of roses ,

while they keep working day long and then rest in their small places .

texting on phones

working hard

Education seems to be useless and tough for those who have access to studies ,

while those who wish to study don't even have money to buy these resources .

Being a student we have the keen desire for earning ,

once in the professional life we want to return to days of learning .

Its so ironic to think about ourselves when people are around us ,

for once they are away we get to realize their importance .

Don't know if this difference will perish or sustain ,

but try to understand life and live for the people it contains .

You have written a great message here, my sweetheart!

Now as I am reading this, Rajesh Khanna's song rings in my ear - "Duniya mein kitna gham hai... mera gham kitna kam hai. Logo ka gham dehka toh mein apna gham bhool gaya..." (There's so much misery in this world... my misery is so less. When I saw others' misery, I forgot my misery).

Great poem you have here... great! Footprints for many to follow... carry on, Sakshi! Love and Peace.
