So Much to Do

Updated on October 1, 2012
Source

The day begins

all too soon.

Inbox overflows with all that is due

demands and requests abound

people waiting down the hall

emails coming in

faxes on the line,

while the phone is left on hold.

Hours quickly pass

a lot gets done

and not enough at all.

The list gets longer

for another day,

as darkness comes

much sooner than planned.

Traffic is steady

lights are out

detour here

while I pick up this

for that store is closed.

The house is a mess

dog’s in the trash

dinner needs cooking

bills stack the table

memos on the fridge.

Coffeepot is set

to wake with the sun

once more.

Thanks for the support. I decided to write what I know which is being super busy and not enough hours in the day.
