An Ode To Spring. For Mondays

"Beauty always lends itself to my enchantments;

Spring heralds the promise of a virgin dawn.

Clouds part as the radiance of sunrise engulfs me,

The mood lifts from its shadows and I feel blessed." -Manatita, 6th March, 2017.

Soaked in the Ecstatic Twilight of Perennial Stars

Your resplendence engulfs me,

And I reel as in a drunken stupor.

Thy enthralling gaze,

Tugs at the expectations of my lips.

The folds of Your raiment embraces me,

As I swoon with the sweet wine of Thy Delight;

Your cute glance becomes a fire in my Soul.

Death stalks me in Thy absence!

Devoid of hope, my inner blossoms fade.

The grey mist of anxiety haunts my passion;

I’m too scared to call this Love human,

But afraid of You, to call it Divine.

My Heart cries, like a jilted lover,

With this great longing of desperation.

Daffodils plus

Singing nightingale

The psalms of the nightingale responds,

And my core fills with jubilation.

The light winds dance like golden rain,

Whispering to the lilies and daffodils,

Magnolias smile and I feel blessed.

Sweet Happiness! I am in the garden of the Beloved,

Soaked in the ecstatic twilight, of perennial stars.

      Nice poetry on Spring season and a worthy dedication to Bill Holland's Monday musings (mailbags). The images and video are also beautiful.

      My Gratitude, Bro. No spring for you, eh? Like home in Grenada, no? Season of carnival. When is your Kumb Mela?

      Aaah Bill.

      Glad you like it! Your last comment felt like the weather was getting you down. So lo! Abra cadaba! Vwala (Viola!) I brought spring to you. Chuckle. Thank you so much for honouring my page.

      Next Kumbh Mela is at Haridwar in March 2022. The Ardh Kumbh Mela (half Kumbhmela) occurs at Allahabad in January, 2019.

      Our spring season has started right now. Our New Year "Ugadi" festival is on 29th March.

      Thanks for the enquiry.

      Ugadi, eh?. Have lots and lots of fun, Bro. I'll make a Kumbh Mela one day. Ecstatic!

      I needed to read an ode to spring today. We have snow in the forecast here. I'm looking forward to seeing the daffodils and magnolia flowers that you mention. You always have such lovely imagery in your poetry, Manatita.

      Thank you so much, Alicia. British Columbia, eh? Must be the word 'british' in it. Hope you get some great weather soon. I'll be in NY in April, inshal'lah. Hope that things are definitely better then. Loving thoughts.

      Bill's mailbag always had great advice and offers inspiration on many things. This was wonderful with thoughts of spring especially since the snow is piling up outside. Loved the music.

      Yes, Andre Rieu and Mendelssohn are truly awesome. So sorry it's raining and snowing your way. You're in Latvia, no? I gave this poem and selected the images for Bill because he was having similar problems. Let's pray for good weather for you, my Dear. Gratitude ... much.
