It takes so long to learn to fly.

To find you have wings to soar on

and the wind to carry you.

To perfect it

soon comes naturally

and you glide gracefully.

So, you've found your spirit.

It takes you to the heavens,

these new found abilities

and you use them

because it is what you know now.

But each feather you take for granted

and you grow weary.

Dreams becom obsolete

and your spirit softens.

So, what do you do

when your feathers fall from your body

and the breeze carries them away?

Lay upon the cool grass to set your spirit free

or pray the breeze brings your feathers back to you?
