I enjoyed your original photos and your words under each one that make one think. I agree that "Most of life's lessons do not occur in a classroom." As long as we live we continue to learn.

Magnificent works of camera art, worthy of praising their artist.

Am I allowed to speak to the following three captions?

"Is knowledge inferior to understanding? Or, are they different shapes of the exact same object?"

My findings is "knowledge" without "understanding" is just that. "Knowledge" is the identifier, "understanding" revels what it is and how it's produced. Before I knew what coconuts looked like on a tree I only knew of coconuts. In Florida I first saw them on a tree I asked someone what were they and he opened the outer shell and presented me with the only thing I knew a coconut to be. After making many meals from them I was able to recognize how they grow and many other of their characteristics.

"Most of life's lessons do not occur in a classroom."

"Life's Lessons" occur in the environment's classroom. There we are taught how man have the ability to live without all of the things we make for ourselves. Man's classrooms are for controlling the minds of the masses so much so that many will accept their leaders instructions even at the cost of their own life called "brainwashing". In comparison, when we see what man make after their teachings and realize "one can not make anything to exceed their own abilities" uniting the two classrooms' knowledge we are able to see our own abilities as"spiritual beings" which is why we are on earth in the first place.

"'Love' is an idea. To describe the reality of love, one needs to obtain millions of microbes and connect them in complicated ways."

      Love aka Indifference

The Enlightenment: the poem is the lines in "" and the other lines are the enlightenment

"Love, a word which cannot be defined,"

I have learned love actually means 'to give respect to everything equally and without attachment or overindulgence'…

"not what you do but a frame of mind; …"

… which liberates the mind by putting one in the differences of all opposites called unconditional love.

"… yet it does create an effect"

Once one respects all people and things equally …

"few are ever able to reject."

… the recipients all will at least return that much respect to you and for some time will often contemplate your difference.

"It does not build empires …"

Empires are usually built by forcing others to surrender to the control of military strength and is not done without force generally causing resentment.

"...by setting boundary lines, neither does it stake out claiming things as mine."

The only time someone who loves places a claim on anything is in the moment they are using it, the moment they walk away or put it down it is its own property.

"It's not selfish to any at all,"

As said, love claims no thing, …

"not to rich nor poor, nor great nor small."

… it doesn’t allow classes to exist, there are none superior nor inferior and it recognizes a purpose for everything.

"It's not bias in any light,"

At some time during this half of the earth’s material cycle each of the four ethnics are world rulers ...

"not to red nor yellow nor black nor white;"

... and are one at a time the lesser states which means it’s about karma and not class.

"but it does make every living thing your brother,"

Earth, as are our bodies, is a conglomerate of living entities consuming one another to maintain themselves and the environment …

"spirit your father and the earth your nursing mother."

… thus, THE spirit or energy called god permeates us all as our father and earth as mother feeds us making us interdependent on one another.

I ,too, found myself travelling through time to immerse myself in these shimmering yet peaceful nature landscapes.

I think things change and our perception changes. Its like when you read a book for the second or third time, and you see new or different things, that you hadn't seen before.

Look forward to more of your photography Al.
