Someone Like Home

Updated on June 11, 2013

In a damp and cold place where I'm alone,

I long for a warm embrace like home.

'Cause for an unfamiliar place like this,

To find a friend is all I wish!

Everyone's together as I frowned,

Then you came along and stayed by my side.

Seeing you already made me smile,

I think I had found a friend for that little while.

Excited, I greeted her hello,

She smiled, but her eyes were filled with sorrow.

I asked, found out we're just the same,

And in that very moment, friends we became!

I know our friendship would last,

And great years together will surely be a blast!

Because now I've found a friend of my own,

Someone...someone who makes me feel at home.
