Something mixed with tears

Updated on October 29, 2010

Something mixed with tears

Something mixed with tears by Ayoola Bandele

Its a drop that overflows
Its a flow that runs the engine
Its a train that sobs and slobs
Its the nature that smudges the eyes
Behind it all is something mixed with tears

Tears and fears impossible to compare
The first stings the flow in the flurry
The latter grips the depth in the soul
Inseparable at the hour of labour
Is something muffled with tears

Amidst griefs and pains it subtly delivers
Amidst joy and victory it comes alive
Wading through the veins
Oozing through the skin
Its feelings in its true colours mixed with tears

Feelings of fear and success
Feelings of pain and betrayal
Feelings of joy and sadness
Feelings of peace and tranquility
All muffled up and expressed in tears

I pray this day to feel great
I pray this day to be happy
I pray this day to rejoice unending
I pray this day will never end
For feeling is a peel that layers the skin

THIS IS A NICE PIECE. I LOVE HOW DEEP YOU GO WITH YOUR ANALYSIS OF TEARS. THAT IS VERY ENLIGHTENING.
