Something (poem)

Updated on November 19, 2015

Oh dear I fear there’s something in our room

I thought I saw it dart across our bed

Perhaps it was just something from my head

A carefree fancy which now yearns to bloom

-

Embrace in case there’s something real to dread

A kiss to see us safely on our way

And let imagination safely stray

In realms where all our worldly cares are shed

-

And so we show our fanciful display

To memories which often linger there

Now shares another secret with the air

But for this moment we too drift away

-

Oh dear I fear there’s something I must share

I thought I saw it on our bed somewhere
