Sometimes I Want to Die, Sometimes I Want to Live (Poem)
Sometimes I want to die,
for all the pain, all the failures deserve nothing but death!
I refuse the air that stings my breath,
my weakness mocks my strength,
the haunting murmurings of the words, "I can't"
Again and again I earn scars and lose won wars,
Blank stares with a glimpse of hope sent to the stars,
I speak and no one understands,
I reached out but no one held my hand,
On concrete walls I tried to stand!
I'm a fool for believing lies!
So much better have I felt for chasing butterflies!
Sometimes I want to die!
Sometimes I want to live!
To live to hold the broken piece,
and so pierce my hand!
To see the depression of my paradise wasteland,
I want to live! And I will live!
I will live because I know I believe!
Soli Deo Gloria
