Song Lyrics - Crystal Love

Updated on July 6, 2011
Source

I remember when I was alive
Everything was beautiful
I would jump out of bed
Because the day was ready for me

I had so much energy
I could stay up all night
I was a shining crystal
And nothing could stop me

I want that feeling again
Is it in you?
I’m looking in your eyes
Are you a crystal too?

I can be that boy again
But I need your help now
I’ve seen so much
And it’s gotten to me

Let’s come alive together
And forget who we are
Let’s be young again
Will you run away with me?

I want that feeling again
Is it in you?
I’m looking in your eyes
Are you a crystal too?

You are a beautiful girl
And now you’ve grown
I see what’s inside you
Can you see what’s inside of me?

I want that feeling again
I want to come alive
I want to run to you
I want to live before I die

I want that feeling again
Is it in you?
I’m looking in your eyes
Are you a crystal too?

I do believe it can come back if you make the effort. All it takes is creativity and a desire to turn things around. I love the poem. Up and awesome and beautiful.

I think you should record videos of you playing these songs and attach them to the hubs. I like the opening line and the crystal imagery.

@breakfastpop - I recall the movie Gigi where the bon vivant Gaston sings a song about being bored with life. At times I find myself in this same mood and feel the need to break out. But I have my routines and responsibilities and one of my strengths has been my personal consistency. Like the tortous and the hair. I can day in and day out eat right, work out, put in a good day's work and then lather, rinse, repeat. Maybe this is why I write so much now... I travel in my mind... thank you for commenting.

@Christian - thanks man... I'm just a lyricist at this point. I can play the piano reasonably well and know all the chords on a guitar but I have no music at this point. Feel free to collaborate!

@Teddletonmr - that is exactly how I see life. Without hope people give up and possibly harm themselves or others. It is critical to have hope for something greater than yourself.

Hey ExoticHippieQueen - that's a cool name... I checked your profile. I was in Chicago for the first time ever last December. It was beautiful with all the lights and the weather was perfect. Cold but clear.

Thanks for the comment. I wish some music would pop out of think air... I have some guitar chords laying around like old pictures in need of organization but will it ever happen? I hope so...
