Song Lyrics - Can A Woman Be So Bold?

Updated on December 15, 2011

Let’s forget about forever
And this talk about tomorrow
That’s what brings on the hurt
Let’s not worry about the sorrow

You and me live all alone
We both just need a friend
I’m not taking your hand
I just don’t want the night to end

I know how you feel
You wonder if you should let it show
Can a woman be so bold
To love a man and see him go?

As the shadows fall around you
Like all your mother's fears
I just want you to know
It’s not wrong to ignore her tears

It’s just another night
Will it be alone or will it be right?
Let’s not sit here and worry
That’s all for the morning light

I know how you feel
You wonder if you should let it show
Can a woman be so bold
To love a man and see him go?

It’s hard enough to walk away
So why make a promise?
After being so close
How could I be so heartless?

Jinny - Yeah... not every night. But the good news is at the end of the song the guy is saying he's probably going to say.. he starts out just wanting tonight but he leaves room for more. So that's good right? Ha....

I hear ya. But in faith and with patience you can make it day by day... To each day it's own, right?

Here's to lonely old nights...but just sometimes... ;-)

@Hattie - On behalf of all men I apologize for going! Sorry... I guess we have commitment issues or something... I probably could use about a years worth of counseling on the subject...

@Jinny - Yeah... you wait and wait and meet someone who you are attracted to but all those questions of tomorrow get in the way so you don't know what to do... It's a lonely old night sometimes...

      @V - Thank you again!

@Poetic Fool - I appreciate it. I have a guitar friend who told me he loved it too. We hope to do something wtih this someday.... I play a little guitar and the piano...

@moira - Thank you! I truly appreciate it...

ha ha, i think I've learned you can love a man in the moment, but most times than not, they always go. lol Perhaps until they get process things, and get past all the fears, and issues! lol
