Song Lyrics - I Want You To Know

Updated on August 30, 2011
Source

I’ve seen your picture
And you’ve seen one of me
We talk once in a while
And then we live silently

I know you’re not for me
I know you’re too far away
I know you have a man
But I still want you to know

It may all be too much
Being a man’s fantasy
But that’s what you are
There’s nothing else you can be

I know there’s no chance
I know it’s just a dream
I know it’s not gonna happen
But I still want you to know

You know
I don’t care about all that
I just know that I want you
And that’s all you need to know

You see
I’m not afraid to tell you
That you are beautiful
I’m not afraid to tell you
What I want you to know

Yeah
I don’t care much
About what you think about me
Now we both know that’s a lie
But that’s how I live alone in the city

I just want one night
One night with you
I’ll tell you what I want you to know
Maybe you’ll tell me too

I just want you to know
So you never have to wonder
I just want you to know
I want you to know
I want you to know
I want you to know

Interesting how themes of unrequited love lend themselves so well to song (think Country). Is there music with this?

@snakeslane - thank you for commenting. No music yet... I'm more of a lyricist though I can play some piano and guitar. It does seem that most of my lyrics work as a country song which is weird because I'm not the biggest country fan around by any means.

Thank you for writing one I need to use--may I tell him where to find it and just change the genders? Beautiful. Thanks.
