Sore Eyes And Tired

Updated on June 19, 2013

Rubbing Them Doesn't Help

We can only do so much

As busy as we could possibly be

Nobody sees

Giving it are all and trying to make every effort count

Like each job done brings us are own carnival prize

That we can hang high in our room

Like when we were young and there was no word work

There was just fun and more fun

We could go all day without stopping

Our parents and neighbors would talk

How can they do it

They have been outside all day nonstop

I wish I had their energy

Now years later we are a victim of society

Break free of the chains that hold you back

Forget what others have secretly brain washed you into thinking

Life is an endless game of play

Were we come and go every day

At the end of the week we get paid

A mere trinket for what we are worth

Don't get discouraged there is a lesson to be learned

Find the desire that inspires you to think smarter

Search for a way that all your hard work and effort will be noticed and recognized

That we all have talents and those talents have to be practiced to be developed

Hard work and years of effort sways the balance in your favor

Now jiust as proud as before you can now excel among others

You can become a leader in your own right

Showing everyone how to turn perserveriance into power

Pressing your new found skills to deliver the goods that catch a handsome price

Feeling dishearted and shaken

Your strong will can never be broken

Sore eyes indeed, I know that feeling! Now I know I am not alone.
