Sorrow (A Poem)

Updated on April 2, 2016

Threatening Skies

Threatening skies

Feathers of a late bloom July

I hear you through the skin

I feel you

Sun that forgot to shine

Empty rocks

Moon of secrecy, tell me,

where have you been?

Silence of black and white

Gray words to fill up the silence

Of these empty pages pressed

against my frozen skin

Of kindness

sorrow is the bird that will never fly

who learned to sing

a song of love, of what could've been

Haunted by the smell of you

I drift to sleep

and go find you.
