Space Marines - Barnsey's Attempts at Poetry
You bear false witness with your dark idolatry, Bombardment cannons planet side.
You’ve doomed your planet, religious hypocrisy, Fleet of the emperor standing by.
Through xenos filth your great technology, You’ve alienated your own kind.
Your twisted gods will never set you free, Hear them laughing as you die.
All the reasons you must have had, now you realize you were wrong.
Sold your soul to another race, you’re just a child amid the throngs.
The emperor smiled yet you turned away, the eyes of Terra see all.
Battlebarges break free of the warp, his Astartes heed the call.
How many shadows from the eye, have you and yours unleashed in space?
How many secrets, how many lies, You are a plague to be erased.
Your indiscretions will cost millions of lives, Self serving greed and desire.
By bolter and chainsword you will be tried, Bombardment cannons open fire!
For Ten thousand years mankind has paused, Through vile heresy we nearly fell.
Death, destruction and human waste, Standing watch over the gates of hell.
No matter - the Astartes yet stand strong, Summon you’re daemon from beyond.
Crimson fists, Blood angels, Space wolves on the prowl,
With deadly impact they’ll respond.
