Sparks in the Storm
Sparks in the storm
Where the water is warm,
And the ocean’s throes compel you.
A deep shapeless form
From the grey mist is born,
To wash away all that is broken.
But there’s a light in the dark,
A smoldering spark,
Incandescent against all odds.
Though this light is still small
It has withstood it all
With every plunge, every wave, it gains strength.
