Speak Silently (poem)

Updated on August 20, 2014

Speak silently of days gone by

When we were dreams across the sky

With time enough to wonder why

Each season would sweet kiss apply

The mornings’ glory secrets share

Another treasure we would bear

Another wish would see us there

Each sunset scented with our flare

Our fashion flowers blossomed by

Each tender touch a heart would bear

The moon would melt when we were there

Love’s endless moods would we apply

Then destiny’s cruel fate would share

Confusion’s tears dared darken sky

So lonesome was our world of why

We were the shadows of our flare

When kinder days would re-apply

We searched our eyes for reason why

And found our answer in their sky

Speak silently of days gone by

Silence is golden, as is said, and a picture can be worth its weight in gold...

Voted up and awesome. We remember days gone by and sadly wonder why like birds they've gone and flown away. Passing this on.

      It seems like only yesterday

When 'silent words' turned my world upside down.

I know them, all too well.

      Hauntingly beautiful poem.

Silent words carry a big message. I loved your video except that I couldn’t figure out whether they were making love or taking dancing lessons. Angela Jolie used to be so beautiful.

It's so sad when love wanes. Perhaps the love is still alive but the passion has seen better days? Sounds like it's time to rekindle the fire!
