Spring: A Poem

Updated on March 23, 2017

Blooms burst from nowhere,

As fragrant rain falls to the dry earth,

And golden rays before afternoon shadows,

Greet us every spring day,

So, run with me on sandy beaches,

And through vibrant fields of flowers,

Leaving the frosty winter behind us,

As we chase after lazy summer days.

Springtime of year does bring forth many beautiful flowering trees, shrubs and flowers. Lovely poem. Rated it up and beautiful.

JayeWisdom: Thank you for your comment! I live in the south, too. I am so glad the winter is over and is officially spring tomorrow. I love all the flowers blooming from the ground and on trees. Thanks for voting!

The wonders of spring are just beginning where I live (Deep South, USA), and after a colder, wetter winter than I can recall in years, I'm delighted to welcome the new season with its glorious colors, fragrances, and warm rays of sun.

I enjoyed the time lapse video of flowers opening, especially the gardenia (one of my faves). Nice touch!
