Spring Joy

Updated on April 29, 2014

sunshine searing

doves feeding

dogs barking

children laughing

dish liquid bubbles gleaming

"Chase me." and "You can't catch me."

echo around the trees that are

dancing in the soft whispered breeze.

yellow flowers smiling

bees hovering

distant mowers humming

heart singing

joys of spring

I long to be free.

Winter has been so cold.

Take my hand.

Run barefoot with me.

Leave all the crazies behind.

Step into the breeze.

Embrace the sunshine.

Welcome spring!

Happy you are here.

rtalloni, Thanks for reading. Spring feels like a season of hope to me with everything coming out in blooms.

Ditto Blossom. :) We do get a little crazy for spring by the end of winter. It is a delightful time of year full of these wonderful things that make us smile!

Grand, do you have only one season in the Philippines? I am unfamiliar with what your weather may be.

This poem helps me to more deeply appreciate why people from countries with four seasons welcome spring so much more.
