Spring...A Frog's Perspective (a poem of inspiration)

Updated on May 7, 2015
Wake up sleepy heads...Spring is here...
Wake up sleepy heads...Spring is here...
Time for a bath in the warm sunshine...
Time for a bath in the warm sunshine...
flowers popping out...
flowers popping out...
breezes waft about...
breezes waft about...
Time to plant more seeds...
Time to plant more seeds...
Is time to smell the roses...
Is time to smell the roses...

Spring is here, now's a time to be happy, a time of cheer,

Birds all sing, crickets chirp, busy bees buzz, as bells ring.

Cooling breezes blow, the chilling rain comes in torrents,

Daydreams stream in our thoughts, as the season warrants.

Memories of those times on the old mill pond, frogs all singing,

Lightning bugs blink on and off, their happy message, bringing.

Warmer days, under sunlight skies, with white fluffy clouds, above,

Every creature, and mothers child, all struck by pangs of love.

Star kissed nights, by a golden moon, to watch over every one,

Awaiting a rosy morning's light, greeting us by the warming sun.

Colorful flowers all popping open, soon to reveal special blooms,

Humming birds buzz and zoom about, to sample each's perfumes.

A time to sleep under a shady tree, dream by a song bird's lullaby,

The precious days ahead, there to greet us, as away, they all do fly.

As every new dawning to come, we are assured of our future Springs,

While a friendly frog croaks and calls, and is so mindful of these things.

I love the creativity. Only a writer could envision a frog's point of view. Well done, whonu!

That is beautiful whonu because it touches and lightens the heart and soul with spring. I voted up, shared and pinned it.

I love this! It made me feel peaceful, full of hope, glad that Spring is all around us. The frogs are so funny, the way they behave, the calls they make and those huge, slow-blinking eyes. You've summed it all up - brilliant!
