Stained Glass People: A Poem
We are all just pieces of a stained glass window,
Broken, unconnected; there is great debt we owe,
Jagged, scattered pieces lay there on the ground,
But there's a solid window frame that can still be found,
Light streaming through the window like a beacon of hope,
We see the Hero with the glue of love to help us to cope,
Once again we are one, being lifted up so high,
Grace and mercy shining through us like the sun in the sky,
Together in God's love we are a beautiful creation,
We carry purpose, but we are varied, coming from more than one nation,
Only He has made us whole, satisfied in His power and great love,
When we are transparent, we are illuminated colors, by the One who reigns above.
