Staying where I am ,cautious.

Updated on June 19, 2013

These men I see
All around me
Living their lives
Riding their horses
Blindly following what TV says
Except me
Staying where I am,
Cautious
Tapping the table
Dreading every minute
Fearing every second
Because I do not know
Will today end in sorrow?
Will it end in victory?

      When we stay where we are, we get stuck and cease to progress. Fear raises it's ugly head. I very much like your poetry and look forward to reading more. Voted up and sharing. Thank you.

      vocalcoach,

      Thanks so much for the visit and comment.I will do the same for you!

      You are right.When we fear,we stuck..I must not fear.I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me and when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will !

      Dearest Tijani,

      What a superb poem here on how fear can be so very immobilizing when it grips us so tightly that we are hardly able to breathe.

      Thank you for sharing this profound piece here.

      Voted up ++++ and sharing

      Hugs and love from southern USA, Faith Reaper

      Wow! Worry and fear can cause one to just sit there, I guess. Very interesting how you express this in a poem. Well done!

      James,

      I'm conflicted... I see the distaste in the idea that man is compelled to live this fake and mediocre 'reality' type of life and you will not partake in such games, but sitting home, tapping the table, dreading and fearing; hardly seems like a healthy alternative (though it's the same one I use :-) ... Let us find a compromise?

      Hugs and love James,

      Cat

      An interesting perspective from the viewpoint of being life's spectator, and I'm sure a view taken by many poets at one time or another, but contributing from oneself, to the next paradigm, seems to make life more stable, and interesting.

      Have a good weekend James;

      Peace and goodwill;

      Faith,

      Thanks for stopping by and commented. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.When we fear , we pull back from life but when we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance,so we should learn to love ourselves first and then hop on life as a happy go lucky rabbit!

      Have a wonderful Sunday!

      suzettenaples,

      Sitting long makes bu..t.t.s bigger,according to a study,which was recently published in the journal Cell Physiology. The researchers concluded that the pressure placed on the buttocks and hips from too much sitting or lying down can generate significant fat build-up in those areas haha Thank God I have a SMALL ONE hahaha that can fit jeans so well hahahaha

      The only time I do sit is when I am writing - on HP or my own personal writings. Otherwise, I try to keep up on my feet and moving. If I sit too long I'm afraid I'll die. lol,

      Cutest Cat,

      I can't wait to get out. It's been much too long, I don't like being home. I'd rather play. This home stay blurs my vision and makes me tired.If I set off and get jet-lagged at the terminus point,I wont regret it because I tried!

      Hugs and love,

      James

      Romeos Quill,

      Thanks for your insight.Procrastination is the thief of time so we should get to crackin'.We can't have everything so at least settle for something for now. If we stand idle long enough, that in itself will work against us. Most of us live lives based on what we discovered while on the way to looking up other things.
