Stifle those smiles

Updated on November 8, 2009

Stifle the Smiles

Cut the throats of flowers
And sing into the night
You've spilled your last lie
I'm sick of this forgery

Keep turning around like you'll be caught any second Soon you'll see the red in the back of my eyes

Mix up some drinks
and lay down the rule
Stifle those smiles
Lock up the mind

If I stay out of the chain links
of my mind
Maybe I'll finally make it through
this final goodbye.

The chain links of our minds can indeed push us to say our final goodbyes however the question remains as to what it is exactly we are saying our final goodbyes to that proves most conflicting at times. I like your work. Thank you for your support.
