Stillness Of Our Riverside (poem)

Updated on March 13, 2014

Enjoy the stillness of our riverside

A time for us to set aside our dreams

And lavish in the luster of our themes

This marvel of a life two lovers tried

Our hearts shall shelter us as all else streams

The scent of memories will be our guide

To paradise’s passions’ pulse provide

Where ever waits the glow of kisses’ beams

The river will still wander to the sea

And many are the dreamers of the day

This shore was set aside by destiny

Which leaves us very little else to say

So make the most of what is meant to be

Enjoy the stillness dreams have sent our way

      Voted up and beautiful. Dreamily wonderful as softly the river flows to the sea.... Enjoyed.

      If we are among the few who can find a stillness alongside the river;

      If we can close our eyes and smell a memory;

      If we can maintain our dreams during the hard times;

      If we can realize that we are destined to be right here, at this

      moment in time;

      If we can make the most of what is handed to us and hold it

      with a grateful heart;

      Then, we are the fortunate ones.

      Beautiful work, Martin. Your words set my mind in motion, this cold

      Friday morning.

      May you find the Joy that you bring to others,
