Stop The World. I Want To Get Off.

Updated on February 5, 2013

Stop the world....I want to get off

Global economy up the spout

What is the world all about

Europe's governments going bankrupt ask

Please bail us out

Politicians meet to vote

Then cancel out the debts

Starving 3rd world countries

People dying everyday they say

Please help us out

And what do they get.....I'll let you work it out

Stop the world I want to get off

The world's leaders have gone mad

I find it so sad

If the world stopped today who would get off

Bet you would be first

Greedy bankers would be last no doubt

Would the last one please turn the light out.

Stop the world it's time to get off

Tillsontitan, make sure you don't forget. Just think of the power bill. Who will pay it ?

Moonlake, so you're the one ?

Thanks both of you for voting up, glad you like it.

I love this but I'll stay on. No matter how bad it gets and I think it will get worse I will not leave and give up. Believe me there are times I wish I could jump ship. Voted up and more.

Loved the satire in this poem. Many of us can relate with it. The current scenario definitely makes you want to get down at the next stop before heading disaster completely.Voted up

Interesting poem. We do need leaders that mean what they say instead of false hopes and promises. Thank you, BB boy ") Have a good one!

LOL! I've wanted to get off so many times. Seasons changing, time reeling have felt so dizzy. Loved the way this poem speaks such truth.
