Stop a While

Updated on July 5, 2012

Stop, stop for a while, fairy moon.

Let the world be bathed with your sweet

Beams, let all objects of nature be jovial

With your sweet touch. Fairy moon,

----------------------)(----------------------

You have not yet touched my burning heart

I will remain still like the sun, you will

Revolve around me and crush yourself

In the orbit of eternal love and tears.

----------------------)(----------------------

Fairy queen, the earth cries, the March

Stares at, and the Jupiter squints,

But yet you move, you move for divine

Love, fairy queen, my love, my sweet love,

----------------------)(----------------------

Stop for a while in your diurnal journey

And make the burning sun mild and lovely.

What a magical little poem! Seems like I read it at a good time - just a couple of days after Midsummer :)

Speaking of someone loved as a fairy moon/queen that just won't stop long enough to fulfill someones needs. Kind of sad, but typical of such a moon spirited one. Very nice poem.
