Stormy Weather Time in Blues

Updated on April 21, 2017

Hard rain coming down, hailstones hitting all around,

It's that stormy weather time in blues.

Lightning, thunder's rumbling, adds to the sound,

Never late, this season, pay its dues.

It's that stormy weather time in blues.

Blues song ringing, dark angels singing, are bound,

Guitar cording, fine beats the sound.

a voice on wings, to fly, makes you want to cry,

A new way of life is found.

It's that stormy weather time, in blues.

Big tree's limbs are breaking, leaves and lines, all shaking,

Water on the roof does pound.

Longing for a new day, calming sunshine on the way,

When a restful peace comes back to town.

All about that stormy weather in blues.

That crazy old stormy weather in blues.

Break out the band, with that razzamatazz sound,

Play Jazz music like we're all heaven bound.

Forgetting the Blues, we don't need it now,

We'll get over it brother, make do some how.

It's time to lose that stormy weather in blues,

We have to refuse. that stormy weather in blues.

Simply wonderful could just hear the blusey music. Unfortunately no thunder storms here until at least end of May.

We've had some heavy duty thunder storms here in Nashville followed by musical jazz gigs. Tonight I'll dedicate "Stormy Whether" to you as I sing the blues. :)
