Strength; In Various Genre.
Strength ;from where does it come?
How do we find it?
Is it really there for us ?
As most of you know I began writing here on hub pages almost three years ago,a few months after the passing of my beautiful daughter Erin.
Also so very often I write tributes for my kind , caring and so musically gifted sister Val who also lost her life back in 1999.
Writing has always been my saviour from way back to when I was a little girl living in the midst of cruelty at home.
I often think to myself:
Should I mention that all the time ?
Should I write tributes to my loved ones all the time ?
Should I this ?
Should I that?
My answer today is
Yes I should ;as this is what has made me the person that I am today.
For the rest of my days on this earth Erin and Val are with me deep in my heart each and every day; I so proudly want to tell the world about them.
Plus if I am not totally honest then how is my story going to help others.
Others who are grieving and their days so dark.
Others who find that abuse of any kind is stopping them leading their life as they deserve.
To be able to live our lives as a whole person is our right and no one has the right to take it away from us .
I hope you all enjoy my poems in various genre below.
I have also created some collages ofsome of my favourite haunts and flowers through which at times I find solace and inspiration .
These were created from a trial version of Microsoft reasearch Auto Collage which I was so happy with.
I hope you enjoy!!
Searching for that guiding hand
To find and grasp
Reaching out beyond our comfort zone
Every step forward a positive
Nearly there ;just a few steps more
Grasping at first tenacious
To step out and to become a winner
Heartfelt emotions as we cross that winning line.
Hang on to that hand
So full of strength and self worth
Others may follow.
Is within grasp
A path we find through life
Take my hand you may follow me
An inspirational journey I share
A journey at times so painful
The path at times rocky
You will then find
Sometimes we may walk
and often so rocky
do we carry on
do we turn back
to stay in the same place
to retrace old steps
a no go
never to be undertaken.
pick yourself up;
Not to stay in fallen crouch
that vital journey
as essential to me as breathing;
as wondrous as a mysterious vapour
and fils our hearts
the wonders of our world
the beauty of our days
find that strength
that leading hand
inspires us forward
with an ease
but oh so needed.
Emerge that winner
with others share that
Today I have travelled my road ;found the strength but I will never stop learning.
Through my journey two very important words came to me;
Expectance and Acceptance !!!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
