Strike For Life

Updated on February 4, 2012

Sweat-sprinkling hikes through the dessert
Swept of cool wind whip among the summer moist
Moonlit night within the blue sea
Soft tan sand settle uselessly
Mute fulfill this world; peace
Yet will it forever be?

Though world today like wildfire eating nature beauty
Tornadoes whip with no mercy
Putting innocent lives in great jeopardy
Buried in grave; greed
Oh what is America, Oh what is America
Has it come to?

Strike for life; human tide of misery, anger, pained
The army of 99 percent fight for victory
But like Goddess, his throne set high pierced
As for we 'the people' cries
Where is liberty, humanity, equality?

Great hub. A large number of people are completely disconnected and oblivious to how much suffering there is in this country.

I good glimpse into the power struggles. I like the use of cool whip imagery as well, off-beat and well written.

You have expressed the greed and power in the world, and it seems to be the nature of 'man'. Money is power.

That was powerful and awesome. Strong words and oh so true. We seem to be getting less and less each day.
