Cover your acne,

Cover your scars,

Cover your face,

Forget who you are,

Nothing matters,

When we’re in the crowd,

Following blindly,

To make everyone proud,

Remember your steps,

Remember your lines,

Remember your actions,

You must stay confined,

To what we know,

So, follow our path,

In this choregraphed march,

Get in line, or you’ll suffer our wrath.

RTalloni: "Society's grip on culture..." I really like how you described that. Thanks for your insightful comment!

This needs saying and you've said it well! It should be read far and wide. Finding the source of wisdom is so freeing but society's grip on culture keeps people in a terrific bondage to certain people group's power over their thinking and behaviors. Money is often at the root, but the arrogance of mocking others because of the way they dress or live or any number of other things gives those people an especially malicious bond. Thanks for a neat read.

Woah, great poem! "Don't follow the crowd of white sheep... find the other black sheep to hang out with".
