Subway Life

Updated on July 26, 2012

The train travels smoothly

into the station.

The whistle sounds.

Screeching to halt

Passengers disembark

Scarring

this way

and that way

heading out

in all directions.

On coming passengers

hurry through

open doors.

Some finding seats

and some not.

Noisy doors close

and she rattles

into motion

traveling smoothly

to the next station.
