It's that time again

Summer reading is like a season of it’s own. As readers everywhere get ready for summer, they are not only packing up their towels and swimsuits but they are also packing up their summer reading experience. Have you started your summer reading? What books have you stacked up for the upcoming weeks?

Where will you read?

Whether on the beaches or by the pool, while traveling by plane or by bus, books are popping up everywhere. Bookstores are displaying the newest titles. Websites are emailing their favorite picks for summer. Libraries are helping chidren read through summer programs.

Where to find your Summer Reading

Bookstores, websites, and libraries are advertising summer reading for what they are suggesting to be an event. Readers of all ages are getting ready to begin their summer season picks.

Choose an old title or discover a new one

While some readers are trying to finish up trilogies like the “The Hunger Games” by Susanne Collins and others are reading the famous Steven King thriller End of Watch. For their summer getaway, some are reading about famous actresses like Drew Barrymore's "Wildflower" and others are discovering authors titles like Nicola Yeager's "A Recipe for Love". The young adult title "The “Age of Miracles” by Karen Thompson Walker is a popular pick and of course the famous "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling.

Children are being introduced to old favorites like “Charlotte’s Web” by E.B. White and the “Phantom Tollbooth” by Norton Juster and even younger children are rediscovering “Clifford the Big Red Dog” written by Norman Bridwell. Of course you can always look at the children's book series "Duke's Nose" written by yours truly for a child's fun learning experience. Schools across the country are have assigned their summer reading lists which include the “Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" by Mark Haddon for their students reading challenge.

Hi, your hub reflects holiday essentials exactly! Never mind the hair spray etc lol! Most holiday makers will take some kind of book with them and become lost in whatever they are reading!

      Nice hub, voted up.
