Summers Start A Poem
Summers Start Is Not Far From My Heart
The separation of being away from my son leaves me with tears about to run.
He spends his summers in Alabama 5 hours away from me.
Not to worry though, I am not alone at all.
Eric and I will travel to Ohio to pick up his boys, along drive you see.
This gives me time for reminiscing.
Josh and Austin love to play at the beach in the surf all day.
Summers start is not far from my heart.
I will be with Eric and his sons, so it will be lots of fun.
If I am lucky, Martin just might stop by and say hi.
So let’s have a great summer and no tears and no sad good bye’s.
I will be just fine.
Before we know it, summer will be gone.
Then we will all return home.
