Sun of my world, son to you....a poem on this mother’s day

Updated on May 19, 2015

Motherhood: All love begins and ends there.

— Robert Browning

An endeavor to fulfill all your dreams and to see you smile always is what makes us to put in our effort always. Growing up phases and those sweet little memories make life so worthwhile. The way you love to play your Guitar, Reet....I wish ....sweet melodies of life to fill your times ahead to make you shine in every your every single aspiration. To be a good human being is what we dream about you. God bless you always.

Being a mother, mainly taught me not to get scared of an earthquake, thunder storms and flying cockroaches to be very honest.

One can't be a worried mother in front of a son. With strength, to be caring and to love unconditionally is what motherhood calls for. There are so many other aspects also. To catch up with your speed as you are growing up so faster Reet, its always my endeavor to be a good mother for you. Being mother taught me to be more patient, calmer ( Reet will not agree with me here though), more strong so that I can bring up my son better way. Its always a never ending learning process although.

Sun of my world

And I still remember

The day I was told

I gonna be a mother

And what a day it was!!!!!

Happy and nervous

As I was to know the feel

Another world was within me

Sun of my world.....

How you make me complete

Today and each day

Little hands to touch

When I held you in my arms

For the first time

And with a tight grip

You held my fingers back

And tears welled up my eyes

Round eyes to look at me

To hold my whole being

Those first words

And lill teeth to smile wide

Many questions and lill steps

First day in school....

And those many firsts....

Yes I miss to hold you in my arms

Now you are taller than me...

You have your own choices..

You can even argue...

It’s the growing up things....

Days have flown by....

So grown up you are now

We may differ in many things....

But know that

You are the Sun of Our world!!!!

Dads and Mine....

Reet , shine bright like a sun ahead....

Thanks for being our Sun always!!!!!!

-----Every child is very dear to his parents always. Being mother is most enriching process of womanhood. It makes us complete and it teaches us so many things in life. Cheers to every MOTHER who ever is reading it and to every Daddy to feel proud to accompany his wife in this wholesome experience! This can be a special occasion to say to our children how much they mean to us and how special they make our lives always.

Love you you today ...and love you always ahead!!!!

For when a child is born the mother also is born again.

Many thanks for taking your time off to step in my slice of HP Town here. Your heartfelt coment is much appreciated like always.

Mothers love their children always, that's what I believe actually. And for my son was born.... I think I became a mother. So I thought to write something for him. I really felt something deep within to see his eyes moistened and the way he tried hard to hide it from me when he was reading through this. And he went out saying he need some time alone to think...LOL he is about to be 15 this nov and showing the sign of maturity ...the alone times and the many phases of growing up. You are a son, you will understand better than me. How guys feel , I think it is different.... than the way we feel. May be ...!

Life feels to be real complete with so many responsibillites yes, RQ. And I try my level best to come up to the expectations of my loved ones. Lets far I can go. All mothers of this world are great really and that is what I feel within and I equally, I feel that all fathers are also awesome ( trying to maintain a necessary balance, not particularly considering any relevant facts and figures of any occasion here). Its the way it should be when it comes to our children.

Anyways, RQ ....its always really nice to have your comments. Thank you once again.

Hope you are doing great among your loved ones.

You know I love to read your poems always.

      Take care and stay blessed.

      Dearest Patricia,

Many thanks for you making your time to be here and leaving your valuable comment for me. Yes you are very right here and I competely agree with you. Motherhood calls for so many different experience that we can never envision earlier and many challenges also to address. However, we mothers are always ready to face anything that involves our children to make them better human being. With time our children becomes independent like you said and we see and reminisce our sweet memorries of earlier days.

I hope you are doing fine among your sweet family. Many prayers your way. Thank you once again.

      Loves and hugs your way

      Dearest Mary,

It's a pleasure to have you flown by to my side of HP Town here. Now dear, You do not have to be sorry. I understand about your many works, we all have always so many works...right dear?

I know we all feel the same, the many firsts ...many emotions to see our children grow up in front of us and then we see time pass by so fast indeed. And then one fine day our children becomes parents and that feeling of being grandparent, wow...I am yet to be there but I can well imagine it.

Thanks for your kind votes and you know its very encouraging for me always.

      Hope you are doing great.

Take care and stay blessed always.

      Dearest Theresa,

Hey hey, now you don have to say sorry as I know that you are keeping busy. It is perfectly okay and I understand. On your part missing things on HP town, well... we always go through these phases of life some time, no matter how much we try to adjust, don't we?

It is nice to know that you children loved your endeavor on the occasion of Valentine's day.

Yeah dear, I had the best ever Mother's day this year. Later in the evening my son ( Reet) bought me three big pastries which we all shared together with tea with a gift of pen which i will cherish for a lifetime to come. He knows I enjoy writing more with a pen though I do not get much time to indulge that way.

Anyways Thank you very much for your comment, visit and shares. Hope you are enjoying the days among your loved ones.

Loves and many hugs your way

Such loving-kindness shown to your son Deergha on your special day; if every mother was like you, what a wonderful world this would be.

Your son and husband are handsome and you look a proud and beautiful mom.

Here's to many more years in celebration of decent mothers around the world; all power to you keepers of lives and affectionate wives.

      Kind Regards;

I, too am sorry I missed this one Deergha. Written like a true mother, selflessly thinking of her child on Mother's Day. What a beautiful boy he is, certainly one to be proud of.

Your poem touches every mother's heart. We are all amazed at the emotions we feel when we first hold that little bundle in our arms. That loves grows as our children grow and then we are blessed with grandchildren who make our world bigger and brighter!

Voted up, useful, awesome, and beautiful.

      Dearest Deergha,

Oh, I am so sorry I missed this beautiful Mother's Day tribute to your handsome and beloved son! This is very special. I did the same thing to both my grown son and daughter on Valentine's Day, and to my delight they loved it.

What lovely photos and such a beautiful family you have, including you!

Looks like you had the best Mother's Day ever.

I was not on my computer much over the weekend and I now realize I missed much!

      Up++++ tweeting, pinning and sharing

(((Hugs))) and much love to you and yours

Manatita....thank you for coming back here again. No need to go on .....yeah India is a great land of so many religious Seers as You very aptly pointed out. Here even the general people are almost all the time more than usually busy with religious rituals as you might have known. I do not intend to say that other countries do not have religiousness spread everywhere but in India as you know, religion plays a very active role in many aspects of social, political, economical lives.

      Thank you once again.

Beautiful world indeed! And especially so for you. You have come from the land of Spiritual Giants and loving Seers: Sri Ram; Sri Krishna; Lord Buddha, (Nepal) The Christ (influenced), Sri Chaitanya, Ramakrishna; Aurobindo, Sri Chinmoy .. then Mira, Ramana Maharshi, Lahiri ... need I go on? This is another example of how great you Mothers are. Even on a day like today, you are still, and proudly and selflessly I must say, allowing your thunder to be stolen. Who is going to write one for you? sob, sob. (Chuckle)

Hugs to Reet. Big man now. I was worried at the start of the Hub as I thought that you had recently had another. He he.

So my sweet, aren't you ill? A perfect Karma Yogini, then? I hope that you have writing fans in the family. Much peace to you, and please get well. Hari Om Tat Sat!

What a beautiful poem and it's lovely to see a mother's poem to her son on Mothers' Day - unusual!

My daughter had a new daughter a few weeks ago; being a mother is a wonderful thing and being a grandmother is superb too!
