Sweet Awakening

Kenneth, loves satire and writings to spotlight others, but he also has an "addiction" so to speak, to dramatic and abstract/prose poetry.

I look intently in her deep onyx eyes.

And in a moment's fading glance, I awake
Not saying but few words; I see her shadow
No breathing; not thinking where we've lost our stake.
How now I've given you, my eons of love to endow.

But now, I notice the carvings on the clouds where I've been
And walked behind you in secrets of spider webs thoughts.
Walking with breathless heartbeats in you and yes, in then.
Rocks of depression fall as elder warriors fall her onslaught.

I move like walking the edge of a butcher's knife
I see you somehow using your sultry smile among thorns
Seizing a raven's promise in day-long vowing your life.
Angels now angry at watching the fool dispel their horns.

I am the fool who awoke with you and thought first of you
Endless, tireless walking, crawling in thorns of hatred rise
I clutch one beautiful hair from your arch angel's hue.
And make two steps now--embracing you in our sunrise.

Why would you beat, defeat a beaten foe a man such as me
The lingering fool that I am, who now bleeds with pure love
Hoping your blazen eyes of dark onxy wink a drop of pity I see
Holding me close in misty horizon gardens above.

Your devoted raven sits as reigning eagles stare intently
Serpents of poisons worse dose now fading to bone
Your subjects meek and mild are but beaten souls crying vehemently.
I look deeper into your onyx soul and spirit--no sign of tiara or throne.

You are real, my princess dear who I have followed to heaven through hell
Eating the foods of stolen glances and fiery kisses you've given
But nay, the sounds you hear are of dark music notes of olden bells.
You silently laugh and sigh loving me dance of clumsy steps riven.

Our ship fades through fog that you measured, sweet princess
I thank you for letting me touch your hand as three steps we take
What price does your ship's captain tell me to ride for pences?
Or do you simply unfold your heavenly wings and fly me to take?

I never dreamed when younger we met in earth's early times
Hunger and dungeon dry and jumping with laughter in skies.
Singing to you and watching your silken gown dance your perfect rhymes.
But our campfire went out and sweet nectar of your breath never dies.

Walk with me kind princess with souls awakened to see
Earth new and heavens in clover field grand
Love me finally and finally I love you, sweet princess queen for me.
A love so storied; a heart of lore stepping with me with your hand.

Deep and engrossing. I am contemplating on "Ravens fall", "raven's promise" and "devoted raven."

Speechless. Sounds like a haunting, obsessed, Black Widow kind of addicting love, satisfying yet dangerous. Love it! Amazing job, Kenneth.
