The Lovers Dance

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

Seeing you stand

Across the way

My mind's ablaze

Something that was once

So lost

Has found new ground

Old lovers

Catching sound

Grab my hand

Take me down again

Where we can fly

Passion escapes us

Into the deep night

Silent stars beam

To the beat of our love

Hips that sway

Dancing around the way

Our love meets

At our special place

Two combine

Into one

Absence reawakened

I have found you again

Beneath the dark sky

This poem is about the familiarity of an old love being reunited where they bond through dance. Breaking the ice. Being reintroduced again and still having many layers of passion underneath. It's about intimacy, romance, love and friendship.

I think I have a name for the new sound emanating from your poetry Caroline.

It sounds familiar and progressive heading in a direction of taking charge of your actions , sounds brave and responsible.

And there is your band .
