The Sand Kingdom: A Poem

Updated on July 7, 2017

Sun rising on not far away lands

Everyone look up, bathe under it shine

Here, clouds always hanging above

Winter covered like blanket, hard to get rid of

The queen fall on to her knees to pray

Tears flowed down, asking for a way

Cold already killed her land

She’s afraid that soon everything will be back into sand

This sand kingdom

Not standing on top of solid ground

The Palace she choose to bond

Not strong enough to bear her doom

They said it is too hard

They want her to give up

following their wish instead

To leave this land of deserted

They want her to move the country to another land

There, somewhere in the island

Where she can build her palace on top of solid ground

And free from all of her wound

Away from this so called weak and useless sand

Also from hers accused as impossible dream

They agree it might be not a promised land

But want to believe that somehow everything she have to sacrifice will be redeem

The queen fall on to her knees to pray

Tears flowed down, asking for a way

Cold already killed her land

But only God’s promised will become her command

If it is God’s will

Sand will become stone

If it is God’s will

This palace will become the only place where I have my throne!

“She already lost her mind!”

In the end,

Those are the only words they able to said

Epigramman: Hi, Mr. E! No matter what I do, I will never able to beat your skill and your speed in creating Epigram. You are the best! Thank you, Mr. E. I wish the same for you! Please say hi, from me to your cats. ^_^

Micky Dee: Ah, King Micky, you know me very well! Indeed it is my story wrapped in fantasy. I tried to playing with symbolism in my poem. Not as strong as Mentalist Acer's way of symbolism, but I hope it can be enjoyable enough. Thank you for the sweet words, dear. You always sweet to me. ^_^

Hello Freya - Your poem about the queen who cared for her land and her people was well done and very touching. The sand and the snow both lost and the queen won. So did Freya Cesare.

    Gus :-)))

This is so beautiful. It's you. It speaks of dear Freya. I believe this queen could build a castle worthy of her throne - anywhere.

    This queen so fair,

    And humble in prayer,

    Asks of God, direction,

    To honor His perfection.

....what a lovely poetic story made even all the more glorious with the visual accompaniment of your wonderful pictures ......a perfect hub presentation I would say - and a genuine poetic moment which took me far far away to another time and place - where I am at once a child again but yet it still pleases and moves me as an adult.

Bravo says the epi-man - and so nice to hear from you!

Happy New Year and please accept my best wishes for continued health, happiness and peace!
