They Break My Heart - a Poem

Updated on July 7, 2017

Play This While You Read

They break my heart,

Again!

Like always...

They took away

The rope which hung my sanity tightly!

Simply to demonstrated

Their power over me!

Leave me breathless...

Helpless...

Longing of my freedom...

From this seems never ending pain.

I wondering;

Love...

Where you hid it when it is necessary?

Why it become so cheap when it is forbidden to have?

My homeless heart have no more;

But tears and will to become a better person.

My trust on you has gone away!

But I will keep trying still;

To pay the debt that I own you with my life.

Even this time,

I won’t stand on your hell ever again!

This pain,

Which I already have too much,

Hopefully,

Won't take my determination away.

And they break my heart,

Again!

Like always!

Took the one that I love so much

And laugh over it!

Landed on my knees, I prayed;

For it won’t kill me inside ever again,

Like it was before.

Insha Allah...

    Mentalist Acer: LOL. That is unrealistic wish. If every knee can be used that way then human will become too lazy to have a life since all he need to do is praying on his knee and nothing more. "Oh God, I am sooooo hungry right now so please give me roasted lamb and salad and a lot of beers." That make us no longer human. it make us turn into pet. Scary!!! LOL Thank you, Sir.

    The Suburban Poet: It's mean you care and full of understanding toward others while often I heard people said, "it has nothing to do with me!" Yes, this is indeed how we take lesson from others people experience and this is the greatest part of sharing our works. It help me to feel the layer of pain in my heart little by little, not only by writing it down, but also by reading comments and responding to it and for that, again, I want to say thank you very much. ^^

    I have a strong belief that one is,or should be,granted a wish after each knee scraped in the name of love.;)

    A priori knowledge is being able to see what may be considered self-evident to those who choose to see. You were shocked into knowledge in a way that many do not experience due to your decision to wait for something to happen in a prescribed manner which you have been forced to defend to your parents (if I understood what you said previously). It may be that I am one who has treated the sacred with frivolity and brought this lesson to someone else. I've have been hurt but did not experience this type of crushing blow because I had not aligned my feelings of love with a deeper purpose as you have. If I have demonstrated an ability to feel before experience then it is because I have been inspired by other poets such as yourself to immerse myself into an empathetic state and create a bubble of thought that allows me to live now instead of waiting....

    I hope you are ok. You have my respect and best wishes for you.

    The picture accompanying your poem is absolutely beautiful and is the image of love, expectation, honor and virtue.

    The Suburban Poet: Being able to understand before experiencing it by yourself, being able to feel before have to face it is the great gift itself. And your works are the real proof of it. Give the world hope and love, no matter where we stand. For that I really grateful; for friend like you and Ahorseback. Thank you very much. ^_^

    Lady Jojo: It is a piece of my painful heart. And yes, they did took my love one away. These people who hurt me not really bad people, they just don't understand the pain they gave me and what it will cost them. On their sight it just 'it'; not valuable, while for me it is my heart.

    Yes, this world indeed full with people who really love to see other's in pain, but those simply because they have worst vain inside which untreatable; caused envy growth in their empty heart and ate it, then changed it into black stone.

    But this world also full with people who took the action of love in the way it should never be; drowning their love one or choke her to death inside their own life and misery. I am not sure which one in better than the other but I am being wrapped inside the second circumstance right now. Desperately looking for some fresh air and personal space to breath. Thank you, Lady Jojo. ^^

    My first reaction was to think "I wish I'd thought of that" but I think it takes some level of idealism combined with the glass between you and want you want and then to see the glass shattered by someone else who then callously laughs at what you longed for to truly understand. It's not something you can think about... it's something you have to live....

    The Suburban Poet: Yes, it is about them again. Like always. Indeed, if we look closely. True love is rare but unfaithful love easy to find everywhere. Isn't it funny? Thank you, Suburban Poet. Your words, as the words of poet, really inspiring me too. Thank you.

    Very nice.

    Is this just a poem or did they really took your love away? i hope not but i know the world is filled with wicked people that doesn't want to see anyone happy.

    Thanks for sharing

    The pain of giving your soul to a person of lessor moral courage than you is screaming through this poem. I particularly think the line about the cheapness of something forbidden to be truly inspired.
