"Titanic Rises in the Hearts of Men"

April 15 is the unforgotten Titanic’s anniversary

A hundred years of ill-scarred memories;

Agonized screams of men & women and the cries of children

Echoed and buried beneath the waters dark and deep

Only the very blackest and the coldest ocean could hear.

It was The Great Titanic’s disastrous epic voyage,

Continuing its doomed ghostly journey into the

Pulsating hearts of every man today, and I say,

The Titanic rises in the hearts of men!

Her Maiden Fair has lived up to this very day

From the most tragic kiss of death of a phantom iceberg;

Cruised from English Southampton to New York City

Forever slumber a thousand voyagers and five hundred more.

The freezing ocean pulled helpless souls down to its realm

While many more struggled to their last precious breaths;

And on lifeboats, seven hundred and fourteen lonely lives spared

Was not even a great number for jubilation, but we remember and

The Titanic rises in the hearts of men!

♥ ♥ ♥

The once great vessel now sleeps on the seabed of darkness,

Marking its bitter cold rest and rustic of what was once

So fair and fleeting majestically over the reflections

Of the wide blue sky and the bejeweled shimmering sea.

The famous liner has lived on with its old captain as hero

The gallant Captain Smith who went down with his ship,

His ever “graceful maiden” that frequently waltz the endless ocean

Honor and image lives on since 1912, 15th of April and to this day...

The Titanic rises in the hearts of men!

      A very nice tribute to the many lives lost one hundred years ago today.

      Thank you Hubert! It is late in the night but I still feel like watching the movie that I have perhaps, and a bucket of tears I hope not, but popcorn instead. Cheers!

      Although I'm emotionally raw, I'll never get tired of watching this classic film. Good hub.
